Fig.1 One Nation Under CCTV - Banksy (2007)

Banksy is known for his magnificent artworks. He is a street Artist, political activist and film director from Bristol. Banksy is an artist who uses juxtaposition of imagery and uses famous works and approprates it to tell his own story which is different from what the original art implies.

This mural is on the same wall of a CCTV camera, Banksy painted this to give us 3 different type of stories according to the journalist which i agree on, one which was CCTV cameras are always up watching everyone who passes by which can get annoying, which is becoming very stressful everywhere. This Mural is to stop or limit the city council from being too concerned with looking at everything even though that footage maybe irrelevant.

I found more information about Banksy from the NTU library from the fils "Banksy Does New York" which was directed Moukarbel , Chris (film director), Gunpowder & Sky( Firm) and Kanopy ( Firm). This Film is said to be 80 mins and gives more intel about Banksy being both a bad and good which is because he expresses his expressions by vandalism which doesn't stop him from being one of the best artist in new york in 2013.

I generally like the work of the journalist this is because he explained and describes Banksy exactly how he is known and gave thorough information, And I also this Banksy's artworks are important because he raises awareness about situations that are not spoken about out loud.
